We offer three main ways to support you at SMART Puppy Co.—SMART Tutoring SMAART Review and SMART Consulting.
Tutoring is all about working one-on-one with you and your dog to build better communication, work through behavior, and make life together feel a little more connected (and a lot less chaotic).
Review offers a simple way to get personalized feedback: send us a short video, and a certified trainer will share clear, compassionate next steps to help you move forward with confidence—no full session required.
Consulting is for folks in the pet care world who want to bring thoughtful, training-informed support into their work—whether that means reducing stress for pets during visits or talking through a tricky client case.

SMART TUTORING
$500 package
Whether you have welcomed a brand new puppy or are navigating life with a dog who has big feelings, our 5-session tutoring plan meets you right where you are. This isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about building understanding, trust, and connection. Using a relationship-based approach, we’ll work together to support your dog’s needs, reduce stress, and create a lasting relationship. Each session is personalized, thoughtful, and focused on helping you and your dog grow together—with confidence and compassion. ​
Here's what the process looks like:

Flexible format: Sessions are available in person (for those local to Madison, WI) or virtually, depending on your location and preference.

Initial consultation: We’ll begin with a 30-minute “get to know you” session to discuss your goals, your dog’s history, and what success looks like for your team.

Three private tutoring sessions: Each session is one hour long and tailored to your unique needs.

One session is all about you as the handler—building skills, confidence, and understanding.

One session focuses on your dog—helping them feel more supported and set up for success.

SMART Review
$50/video upload
Personalized feedback, right when you need it.
Not sure what your dog’s body language is saying? Wondering if you're on the right track with a training exercise? SMART Review offers a quick, supportive check-in with a certified trainer—no full session required.
Here is what you can expect of our SMART Review:

Once you book your SMART Review, we’ll send you a private link where you can upload a short video (5 minutes or less) of your training session or behavior concern.

Within 7 days of submission, you’ll receive personalized feedback—along with three thoughtful, doable next steps to help you and your dog keep growing together

Feedback is limited to what's observed in the video, but if you'd like deeper support, you’ll have the option to book a full SMART Tutoring session for continued guidance.

SMART Consulting

Whether you're a groomer, vet, daycare provider, or anyone caring for dogs in a professional setting, our SMART Consulting service is here to support you in the real-world challenges you face. From navigating a specific client case to building systems that reduce stress for the animals in your care, this service is grounded in the same relationship-based, thoughtful approach we bring to all of our work.​
We also offer a referral option— if you’re working with a dog or client who would benefit from additional support outside of your scope, you can connect them with us directly. We’ll keep communication open and collaborative, making sure everyone feels supported.We believe that small, intentional changes can make a big difference—for the dogs, and for the humans who care for them.​

Optional follow-up resources: Depending on your needs, we can share additional ideas, tools, or a summary to help you carry what we talked about into your daily work.

Continuing Connection Rewards Program
At SMART Puppy Co., we believe that ongoing learning and connection are where the real magic happens. That’s why we created our Continuing Connection Rewards—a way to honor your commitment to growth with your dog and make it easier to keep the momentum going.

Here’s how it works: After you've completed your initial tutoring or review session, if you keep up with regular training—booking a private session at least once every 30 days—you’ll receive increasing discounts as a thank-you for commitment to learning.

Month 1 after your initial tutoring program: 10% off ($153 per 60-minute session)

And here’s the best part: once you’ve been actively training with us for six months, that 50% discount becomes yours for life. It’s our way of recognizing the care, time, and heart you’ve put into growing together with your pup.
There’s no required number of lessons—you just need to keep scheduling sessions within 30 days of each other to stay enrolled in the program. If more than 30 days pass between sessions, no worries—you can either re-enroll in a new tutoring program or continue with one-off sessions at our standard rate ($170 per session).
SMART SLEEPS
$55 per night
SMART Sleeps offers in-home boarding for dogs who thrive on routine, comfort, and connection. While you’re away, your dog becomes part of our family—staying in a home environment with structure, play, rest, and personalized care.
This isn’t a kennel. It’s thoughtful, overnight care designed for dogs who do well in calm spaces and enjoy the company of other dogs. Because all guests share space with my own dogs, we welcome pups who are comfortable around others and able to relax in a home setting.

Every SMART Sleeps guest is welcomed with care—and never rushed. When a new dog arrives, we first give them time to explore the space without my dogs present, helping them settle and get their bearings. From there, introductions happen slowly and intentionally: one dog at a time, with a barrier in place to ensure safety and comfort. Once everyone is relaxed and able to disengage, we move to neutral outdoor space together—and only then transition to shared time inside.
This process might take five minutes or a full day. We follow the pace of the visiting dog, always prioritizing safety and comfort.
